Alexandros is a member of Data Protection and Privacy Practice of the firm.
His practice focuses on providing regularly legal guidance and advice to domestic and international clients in relation to Data Protection and Privacy issues in the business sector. Alexandros supports the team by drafting and negotiating contracts and privacy policies and notices, by handling privacy aspects of pharmaceutical companies (e.g. with respect to performance of clinical trials, pharmacovigilance etc.) as well as employees’ privacy issues (e.g. sanctions screening, background checks etc.) and by assisting companies in their day-to-day compliance with the GDPR. He has participated in several due diligence exercises, examining compliance of companies with the GDPR and privacy obligations by the applicable legislation, and in several GDPR compliance and remedial plans for clients active in the sectors of consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, events’ and conferences’ management, culture as well as and insurance. He is also in close collaboration with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (HDPA) in relation to any legal matters on behalf of clients. Furthermore, he advises clients on technology and telecommunication matters.
Alexandros has experience in the fields of Civil Law, Criminal Law and White Collar Crime and has participated in the “Free Legal Aid” Programme of the UNHCR in the field of immigration and human rights’ law. During 2017-2018 he has been a stagiaire in the Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CNECT) / Unit for Startups and Innovation of the European Commission.
