Elia is Counsel in the firm’s Real Estate team and supports all assignments of the team re assets under privatization, strategic investment plans, or energy related projects. Elia has represented HRADF re the privatization of 150 real estate properties owned by the Greek State. Elia advises on all the issues pertaining to environmental, forest, urban planning-zoning and regulatory-licensing matters as part of the design and implementation of large scale infrastructure projects or special uses installations (e.g. industrial plants, hotel facilities, RES projects, airports, school units).

Her skills include also management of real estate projects from the legal due diligence perspective (she has a strong background in advising and resolving complicated ownership status issues regarding public real estate assets). Her unique understanding of public and private law issues, both advisory and litigation, renders Elia the “go-to person” for all complex real estate matters.

In 2018, Elia was the firm’s representative at MIPIM 2018 in Cannes, the world’s leading real estate property market. In 2017 Elia was seconded as in-house legal counsel at Fraport Greece, supporting the fulfillment of the conditions precedent for the handover of the portfolio of 14 regional airports. Elia heads all complex real-estate due diligence teams, acting both for banks and quasi_State entities, or private investors, with highlights the VHPH real estate transaction (Hines and Henderson), Hellinikon Project, Kafireas, Vermio, and Terna Evoia complex RES wind projects.
