Our Managing Partner, John Kyriakides, recently participated in the 2nd Rule of Law Conference organized by the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce. As Chairman of the Chamber’s Legislative Reforms Committee, Mr. Kyriakides delivered a powerful speech emphasizing that the Rule of Law is a fundamental pillar for the development and prosperity of every nation and society. He highlighted its connection to progress, stability, trust in institutions, investment attraction, and economic well-being.

Mr. Kyriakides also engaged in an insightful discussion with Judge Francesco Depasquale, President of the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ). They explored topics such as the role of CEPEJ, Greece’s position in evaluation reports, cyberjustice, and the impact of artificial intelligence on the justice sector. The discussion further delved into methodologies for developing strategies aimed at reducing delays in the judicial process.

Additionally, our Litigation Partner, Vicky Kriketou, participated in a panel discussion moderated by Professor Dimitrios Tsikripas of NKUA’s Faculty of Law. Ms. Kriketou shared her expertise on the challenges facing mediation in Greece, emphasizing the importance of fostering a culture supportive of alternative dispute resolution among both parties and their legal representatives.
