In accordance with a relevant Ministry of Finance announcement, the three-month suspension of the operation of the Central Ultimate Beneficial Owners Register (CUBOR) platform on the gsis.gr/ website which was stipulated by the Legislative Act dated 30 March 2020 is extended for another three-month period, starting July 1st, 2020.
Adaptation to the special circumstances created by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the imminent implementation of the 5th anti-money laundering Directive (Directive (EU) 2018/843) in Greek law are cited as the reasons for this extension.
It is noted, however, that during this period of extended suspension of operation, the users will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the revised platform and to proceed with a draft registration therewith, but not to a final submission.
