Senior Partner Konstantinos Vouterakos as Chairman of the Association of Greek Law Firms (SDEE) spoke on the event called “Justice: The Foundation of Growth & Prosperity” which took place at the Athens Conservatoire. It was an unprecedented initiative bringing together all three Supreme Courts of Greece, the SEV Hellenic Federation of Enterprises | ΣΕΒ σύνδεσμος επιχειρήσεων και βιομηχανιών, the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens University and SDEE / Σ.Δ.Ε.Ε. (ΣΥΝΔΕΣΜΟΣ ΔΙΚΗΓΟΡΙΚΩΝ ΕΤΑΙΡΕΙΩΝ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ). Konstantinos participated ιn the closing panel’s discussion “Trust as a New Capital for Growth & Prosperity: how the State, judiciary, business, the legal profession and academia work together to strengthen legal certainty.” He stressed that while all stakeholders share responsibility, meaningful progress comes when they coordinate around a common vision.

Key points Konstantinos made:
◼️ Lawyers as the system’s “connective tissue” — bridging parties and institutions, helping disputes resolve constructively.
◼️ Professional conduct matters — strict ethics and media guidelines, and continuous skills development across the profession.
◼️ Standards & training — build a system that welcomes the new generation (better trained than ever) and rewards merit, raising overall professional standards.
◼️ Make ADR mainstream — broaden the use of conciliation/mediation so fewer disputes burden the courts, improving both speed and quality in justice and
◼️ Long term investment in education from early years to develop skills and capabilities that will be meaningful to future professional life.
