KG’s Energy & Infrastructure team is pleased to have advised SOLARIS HOLDING AD on the acquisition of a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project with an installed (nominal) capacity of 400 MWh and guaranteed capacity of 380 MWh, located in the Region of Peloponnese.
KG provided comprehensive legal support to SOLARIS HOLDING AD on all aspects of the transaction, including legal due diligence, structuring and negotiation of the transaction documents, and the successful submission/participation of the Project in the invitation for submission of applications for the prioritized (Fast Track) issuance of a Connection Terms Offer (CTO), issued pursuant to Ministerial Decision ΥΠΕΝ/ΓΔΕ/28255/1143 (GG Issue B’ 1248/13.03.2025).
Our team also advised on land and regulatory matters, including the negotiation and execution of a private lease agreement securing the Project’s land rights.
This transaction marks a significant milestone in SOLARIS HOLDING AD’s expansion in the Greek renewable energy and in particular in the evolving BESS market.
The transaction was led by our Senior Partner, Gus J. Papamichalopoulos, with the engagement of Anna-Maria Papamichalopoulou (Associate), who handled the transaction documents, and our Senior Associates, Konstantinos Varelas and Antonis Koumpias, who managed the legal due diligence and the regulatory aspects of the Fast Track application process. In addition, our junior associate, Nikoletta Nagy, contributed significantly to closing the transaction.
