KG’s Data Protection and Privacy Practice contributed also for the year 2021 to the “DLA Piper GDPR fines and data breach survey: January 2022” which covers key GDPR metrics across the European Economic Area (EEA) and the UK, with regard to personal data breaches notified to regulators and the fines imposed.

The Survey includes interesting figures also for the Greek jurisdiction. Greece continues to rank considerably low among the countries covered in terms of total number of data breaches notified and last in the number of breach notifications per 100,000 population, while in the rankings of the total value of GDPR fines Greece is in the mid-range.
