Kyriakides Georgopoulos, in cooperation with Bird & Bird LLP, advised WILHELMSEN SHIPS SERVICE AS (“WSS”), a Norwegian company having one of the largest maritime services networks in the world, in the transfer of its Greek marine safety business to the UK based Survitec Group Ltd, the leading provider of critical safety & survival technology to the marine and defense markets, within the framework of their transaction to merge Wilhelmsen’s marine safety business with Survitec, creating a market leader in safety and survival solutions.
The transaction included the transfer of all Wilhelmsen Maritime Services AS (WMS)’ safety related systems, products, services and competence to Survitec.
The combined business will operate under the name “Survitec Group.” The local part of the transaction comprised the separation of the marine safety business from the existing local WSS subsidiary, the transfer thereof to a newly established Greek WSS entity, and the subsequent sale and transfer of all shares in the newly established Greek company to SURVITEC GROUP LTD.
