On 16 September, Women@CompetitionGR hosted in Athens the well-attended event “Back to Work: Developments in Competition Law and Merger Control” at Nomiki Bibliothiki, bringing together perspectives from the judiciary, competition authorities, the EU Courts and private practice.
KG Partner Victoria Mertikopoulou, member of Women@Competition,moderated the first panel, connecting different perspectives on important issues currently shaping competition law in Greece and the EU -art. 101 and 102 TFEU, private enforcement, upcoming developments after the issuance of article 102 Guidelines by the European Commission and procedural aspects of prioritization and dismissal of antitrust complaints.
The programme moved from recent developments in national and EU competition case law to the evolving approach to merger control — and, importantly, to the questions they raise in practice.
