KG supported the Scientific Conference “Developments in the Pharmaceutical Sector”, held in Thessaloniki on 18 September 2026 in the context of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki’s Interdepartmental MSc in Pharmaceutical Law.

Our Partner and Head of Administrative Law, Constantinos Kavadellas, and our Competition & Antitrust Counsel, Konstantinos Sidiropoulos, contributed as speakers on two areas at the forefront of legal and regulatory developments in the pharmaceutical sector.

Constantinos Kavadellas discussed recent developments in pharmaceutical expenditure and reimbursement, focusing on Greece’s new Innovation Fund, access to innovative medicines, assessment and reimbursement, and outcome-based and risk-sharing arrangements.

Konstantinos Sidiropoulos explored the shifting boundaries of competition law in pharmaceutical markets, discussing how far competition law should go in protecting competition that has not yet fully emerged — from potential generic entry and the use of regulatory processes and information to shape competitive conditions, to future innovation and pharmaceutical mergers.
