Konstantinos is a competition and regulatory specialist with extensive experience advising on complex EU, Greek and cross-border matters. His practice spans the full spectrum of competition law, with particular emphasis on cartel and abuse of dominance investigations, merger control, antitrust compliance and State aid. He also has significant expertise in foreign direct investment (FDI) screening and the EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR), advising on their application to complex cross-border transactions and investments.
He regularly advises and represents leading multinational and domestic clients in high-stakes investigations, transactions and contentious proceedings before the Hellenic Competition Commission, the European Commission and the Greek administrative courts. He combines deep technical expertise with strategic, commercially focused advice, helping clients navigate complex and evolving regulatory frameworks and manage competition and foreign investment risks in business-critical matters.
Konstantinos advises clients across a broad range of industries, including consumer goods and retail, digital markets and online platforms, financial services, energy, telecommunications and ICT, transport and automotive, and life sciences and healthcare. His experience encompasses both contentious and transactional matters, as well as strategic competition law advice relating to clients’ commercial strategies, distribution arrangements and business practices. He also has extensive experience in the design and implementation of antitrust compliance programmes, internal competition reviews and dawn raid preparedness, and regularly delivers tailored training to senior management and in-house legal teams.
Prior to joining KG, Konstantinos practised competition law at leading law firms in Brussels and Greece. He also gained institutional experience within the Competition Team of the Legal Service of the European Commission.
Alongside his practice, Konstantinos maintains a strong academic and thought-leadership profile. He holds a D.Phil. (PhD) in Competition Law from the University of Oxford and has held teaching positions at leading academic institutions, including the University of Oxford. He currently teaches competition law at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with a focus on the pharmaceutical sector. He regularly contributes to academic and professional publications and initiatives on competition law and policy.
