Delphi Economic Forum XI – Konstantinos Vouterakos Interview with Mononews

In an interview with Mononews at the Delphi Economic Forum XI, Konstantinos Vouterakos, Senior Partner, discussed how emerging technologies are reshaping the regulatory landscape in financial services.

As he noted, regulation is no longer simply following innovation — it is increasingly shaping it. With frameworks such as the AI Act, MiCA, DORA and PSD3, Europe is moving towards a more complex, integrated regulatory ecosystem that applies horizontally across the market.

“Compliance can no longer be treated as a tick-box exercise. It must be embedded from the very first stage of product and service design.”

He also highlighted that the real competitive edge is not technology alone, but the data it carries — and how that data can be used within the regulatory framework.

“The competitive advantage lies not only in technology, but in the ability to use data responsibly and strategically within the rules.”
