Yannis joins KG from Bryan Cave London where he served as a Senior Associate. He worked for Norton Rose Fulbright (London and Athens) for 7 years and he has also benefited from secondments at Citibank and the Bank of New York Mellon in London. He specializes in high-value cross-border structured finance and debt capital markets. He also advises on a variety of other banking transactions and Islamic finance matters. KG has been in the forefront of the most important banking, finance and capital markets transactions in Greece and in many instances has been engaged to provide legal services for original and innovative projects. Our team covers the complete spectrum of deals and transactions and it advises on all types of market-players active in the Greek market. Banking & finance activity has developed significantly over the past few years and that trend is expected to expand in the months to come in response to the need for a more active management of the NPL stocks held by the systemic banks. Foreign and domestic clients need first-class advice and experience, and very few firms can offer this capability on a multi-jurisdictional basis. KG’s practice includes lawyers capable to deal efficiently with complex and challenging cross-border issues with numerous significant instructions in this area over the past few years.
Konstantinos Vouterakos, KG’s practice group head for Banking, Finance & Capital Markets commented: “We welcome Yannis to the KG family and we are certain that his experience and skills will contribute to the longstanding efforts and recognition of our practice”.
Theodore Rakintzis, partner with the Banking, Finance & Capital Markets group commented: “We believe that Yannis’ experience is a value-added to the firm and we warmly welcome him to the team”.
