A new legal framework (Law 4663/2020) introduces the reactivation of seaplanes in Greece.

Under Law 4663/2020 “Establishment and operation of airports on water surface area and other provisions” which was published in FEK 30/Α/12-2-2020, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport launches a new era in the field of waterways. After long discussions and delays, the “ambitious” project of the construction of 100 waterways in harbors and lakes becomes a reality. The current institutional framework, that is Law 4568/2018, changes aiming at simplifying and accelerating the licensing process.
