KG advised CBE Capital on 95m EUR Financing for Six Senses Hotel in Porto Heli

KG Law Firm’s Project Finance and Banking & Finance teams acted as Greek legal advisor to CBE Capital and the consortium of sponsors in securing a 95m EUR senior bond loan facility from Piraeus Bank for the development of the Six Senses Hotel and branded residences in Porto Heli, Greece. The team at KG facilitated the structuring, drafting and negotiation of transactional documents, as well as coordinated with lenders and provided comprehensive support throughout the implementation of the transaction. The EUR 150m development, which is already being enlarged by the purchase of additional adjacent land, is equity-financed by a joint-venture between CBE Capital, Golden Land Goutos which is owned by the Greek Goutos family, the New York-based Taconic Capital Advisors and London-based Cedar Capital Partners that was guided by KG through every step of the process along with UK and Luxembourg law legal counsels.

The KG team was led by Christina Chini (Partner) and Penny Oikonomopoulou (Counsel) and was supported by Konstantinos-Antonios Grivas (Associate) and Andreas Chassiotis (Associate), while continuous collaboration was provided by our Real Estate Development Partner, Kimon Tsakiris and Marianna Tsatsanifou (Associate).

Geza Toth-Feher, Managing Partner of CBE Capital said: “We were very happy to be expertly advised by Christina and her team of KG on this important finance transaction. The transaction had to be completed in a challenging time frame, and involved multiple jurisdictions. This is another example of the consistently excellent Greek legal advice we obtained from KG in relation to our investments in Greece”.

A heartfelt congratulations to all involved parties and thank you to CBE Capital for trusting our firm as their legal advisors on this exciting venture.
