KG Law Firm’s Project Finance team is best known for its capacity in handling large projects, commitment, and the high quality of its deliverables, both in thoroughness of the approach and practicality of its solutions in complex legal issues. A main feature of our practice is the multidisciplinary team work: our long-standing experience in the energy, infrastructure, and real estate sectors, as well as our in-house tax and administrative law practices, allow us to have a well-rounded view of all relevant parameters of any transaction.

Our project finance work covers both PPPs, as well as pure private sector project financing, both recourse and non-recourse, and we cover a variety of industries, such as infrastructure, energy, real estate (shopping malls, schools, hospitals, hotel industry) and telecommunications. We typically – but not exclusively – act as lenders’ legal advisors, where we provide a full range of services, starting from documentary and project legal due diligence and risk assessment, to drafting and negotiating finance and project documentation. In our practice, we work in accordance with the highest European and international security finance standards (LMA, FIDIC, OECD risk matrices, etc.).

Our customer base includes Greek banks, international financial institutions and development banks (such as the European Investment Bank, Black Sea Trade and Development Bank, KfW – IPEX Bank), while we maintain close relationships with international law firms with whom we often work with in multijurisdictional transactions.
