KG Advises MHP on Greek Law Aspects of Strategic Acquisition

When businesses expand across borders, the challenge is rarely confined to a single jurisdiction.

KG advised MHP, Europe’s largest poultry producer, on its agreement to acquire a 70% stake in Nitsiakos S.A., one of Greece’s leading poultry companies, in what is widely regarded as one of the largest transactions in the Greek agricultural and food sector of the year.

The transaction brings together two industry leaders and reflects the continued strategic interest of international investors in the Greek market.

Acting as local legal counsel to MHP and working alongside Baker McKenzie – Ukraine, we advised on the Greek law aspects of this complex cross-border transaction, supporting the client through a process involving multiple stakeholders and jurisdictions.
Congratulations to all parties involved on reaching this important milestone.

The transaction was led on the M&A side by Partner Elisabeth (Lisa) Eleftheriades, together with Angeliki Chalikia, Counsel, Angelos Charalampidis, Senior Associate, Nikolas Vellios, Associate, and Anastasia Karabesini, Παντελής Κωνσταντίνου and Marianina Papadi, Junior Associates.
