Nikolas is an associate in the firm’s Innovation and Project Development practice, where he advises clients on the legal challenges arising from new technologies and emerging business models.
Nikolas has developed particular expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) regulation, advising clients on compliance with the EU AI Act and the broader regulatory landscape shaping the development, deployment, and use of AI systems. In this context, he helps clients navigate these evolving rules with practical, business-oriented guidance that supports innovation while managing legal and regulatory risk. He is also engaged in the legal and regulatory issues related to the telecommunications sector, where he advises on the framework applicable to electronic communications networks and services, assisting clients in addressing licensing, compliance, and other regulatory requirements in this dynamic and highly regulated industry. His work further covers privacy and cybersecurity, advising businesses on compliance with data protection and cybersecurity obligations, managing risks related to data collection, processing, and security in an increasingly digital environment, and liaising with competent authorities on incident response and regulatory matters.
Alongside his regulatory work, Nikolas is active in e-commerce and broader corporate and commercial matters. He advises on the legal aspects of online business models and digital transactions, and more generally supports clients across a wide range of corporate and commercial law areas, including corporate advisory and governance work, the negotiation and drafting of commercial agreements, due diligence exercises, and large M&A transactions. This combination of regulatory and transactional expertise allows him to offer clients comprehensive, forward-looking advice tailored to the demands of the digital economy.
Nikolas studied law (LL.B.) at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and holds an LL.M. in Information Technology Law from the University of Edinburgh.
