The first student accommodation PPP project in Greece and a pilot for others to follow, is taking off! KG’s Project Finance team acted as Lenders Legal Advisor for the European Investment Bank and Piraeus Bank for the structuring and financing of the University of Crete Student Accommodation Public-Private Partnership (PPP)  project awarded to Aktor Group.

Our team supported for a period of over 15 months the senior lenders in all phases of the transaction including the legal due diligence of the project, negotiation and drafting of the Project and Finance Documents and coordination of all parties to closing. Furthermore, a distinct Banking and Finance team of KG acted as separate special legal adviser to the EIB.

Our team was led by Ioanna Antonopoulou, Elisabeth Eleftheriades and Angeliki Chalikia with the support of Tryfonia Angelidou, Eva Makri, Konstantinos – Antonios Grivas, Anastasia Karabesini. The special legal adviser EIB team was led by Konstantinos Vouterakos, Vasileios Douzenis with the support of Despina Korovesi.
